APPOINTMENT FURTHER STRENGTHENS PROD-CO’S SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Spun Gold TV, has appointed former ITV 2 Controller and ITV Commissioning Editor, Daniela Neumann to become its first Creative Director. Daniela joins Spun Gold from Viasat where she was VP of Content and Development, responsible for overseeing the commissioning, scheduling and channel strategy across Viasat’s 11 FTA channels around the world.
As Creative Director for Spun Gold, Daniela will share her experience to help generate the next breed of Spun Gold’s programming and oversee expansion into new areas.

Daniela started her career as a journalist before going on to produce and direct in all genres, including Ibiza Uncovered, Airline, The Bill and Emmerdale. As well as Acting Controller Entertainment for ITV1, Daniela was also commissioning editor Factual ITV1. Prior to this role she was Controller of ITV2, as well as Controller of Commissioned Programmes for ITV3 and ITV4.
Daniela was responsible for ITV2’s hugely successful strategy to devise brand extensions like Xtra Factor and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now, which built it into the most watched non terrestrial channel. This strategy transformed the broadcaster and more than tripled its audience. She also commissioned stand out hits, Peter and Jordan (the highest rating multichannel commission), Jack Osbourne’s Adrenalin Junkie and Footballers Wives Xtra Time.
As Director of Programmes VMTV, Virgin 1, Bravo, Bravo 2, and Challenge, Daniela oversaw a successful rebrand of Virgin 1/Channel One and steered the channel to a change in strategy that doubled its audience size. Before taking up her most recent role at Viasat, Daniela was Acting Controller of ITV1 Entertainment, overseeing and developing hugely successful commissions for the channel including, Dancing on Ice, I’m a Celebrity, and Piers Morgan Life Stories.
