Manchester is a city that has had not had a Michelin-starred restaurant for 40 years. In this 2-part documentary series the cameras follow Simon Rogan and Aiden Byrne, two of Britain’s top chefs, as they both open fine-dining restaurants in the city within months of each other. Aiden puts the finishing touches to his menu ready for the opening of his brand new £3m restaurant, Manchester House. Whilst Simon looks to replace the historic Midland Hotel’s a la carte menu with an elaborate 10-course tasting experience using locally sourced ingredients.
