Over the course of eight episodes, we see a different group of plus sized guests, with huge self-esteem issues, spend a week in a specially created hotel, where they can holiday free from prejudice. The Resort, on the sun-drenched Caribbean island of Antigua, is kitted out with reinforced furniture that can accommodate 40 stone plus holidaymakers. But this is more than just a safe haven.
Across the week, two staff members, Mel and David, challenge the guests to face their innermost fears about their bodies, setting them activities they would never dream of attempting. From paddle boarding to hiking to salsa dancing, to try and rebuild their sense of self-worth. It is an emotional rollercoaster as all of the guests are pushed to break free from their clothes, love their bodies and end the holiday with a new found self-confidence.
