Alan Titchmarsh meets the Duchess of Rutland at Belvoir Castle to see her recently discivered plans created in 1779 by his hero, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. He discovers that she wants to realise his design in her landscape, turning farmland into his signature parkland.
Alan is also discovering who ‘Capability’ Brown the man was by visiting his birthplace Kirkharle in Northumberland and the first place he worked Stowe in Buckinghamshire.
